How the price is set

Every tree costs the partner's cost plus a flat operating fee of $0.10, rounded to the cent. The fee covers payment facilitation, moving USDC to the currency partners bill in, and hosting. The live prices are always at /api/providers, and the 402 challenge quotes the exact amount before anything is paid.

Signed-in people choose their partner on their profile. A team default applies to everyone on the team, and a wallet paying without an account gets the default partner, Ecologi.

How planting is verified

Each day's order is one row in the public ledger, with the partner's reference.
Where a partner publishes a proof page, the receipt links to it once the batch is submitted.
Every order is idempotent on our side, so a retry can never plant the same trees twice.
Partners bill us in arrears, so the ledger's spend column is a floor, not a final figure.
